One Pot Chinese Chicken Noodle Soup Recipes

My chicken noodle soup is prepared and cooked in a pan in 20 minutes.

Ingredients

For the homemade soy sauce:
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons fish sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
For the soup:
  • 1 tablespoon of oil
  • 2-3 green onion bulbs aka spring onion, sliced
  • 1 cup grated Napa cabbage aka Chinese cabbage
  • 1 tablespoon ginger + finely chopped garlic or ginger and garlic paste
  • 1 medium chicken breast
  • 1/4 gallon of water mixed with concentrated broth * see notes
  • 2 tablespoons Chinese rice wine
  • about 1/2 packet of Lo Mein noodles
To garnish:
  • Chili flakes
  • a few drops of sesame oil optional
  • Green onion stalks remaining sliced ​​bulbs

Instructions

  1. First mix the ingredients for the soy sauce, including brown sugar, fish sauce, soy sauce and rice vinegar. Set aside
  2. Then make sure that all of your fresh ingredients are cut before you start cooking. Cut your green onion bulbs and the greens (keep the two separate because the greens are used as a garnish), shred your napa cabbage, cut your chicken into small pieces, and chop or mash your ginger and garlic if you use them fresh.
  3. Heat a pan and add the cooking oil. Then add the sliced ​​green onion bulbs and the napa cabbage. Sauté 1 minute over high heat.
  4. Put all the ingredients aside in the hot pan and add the ginger and garlic, sauté for a few seconds (reduce the heat as it can sauté).
  5. Then add the chicken pieces and cook them also on all sides.
  6. Pour in the broth and add your previously prepared soy sauce and Chinese cooking wine.
  7. Mix well and cook your soup covered for about 7 minutes or until you think the flavors are perfect.
  8. A few minutes before serving, add your noodles to your cooking soup. The noodles cook super fast!
  9. Serve with chili flakes, a few drops of sesame oil and the slices of sliced ​​green onions.
