Ingredients
- 2 cups self-rising flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/5 cup cubed butter
- 1/2 cup + 2 tablespoons warm milk
- 2 tablespoons of sugar
- 1/3 cup optional raisins
Instructions

- Sift the flour and salt in a bowl.
- Add the butter and rub with your fingertips in the flour until you get a fine consistency of breadcrumbs.
- Pour the milk (save a little to brush the top) and mix with a soft but not sticky dough (if too sticky, add more flour).
- On a floured surface, press the dough to 3/4 ″ thick.
- Use a 2 1/2 '' round cookie cutter and cut 4 rounds.
- Put the dough in a ball and press again, then cut another 2 turns.
- Put the circles on a greased baking sheet and brush the tops with the milk.
- Place in the middle of the oven and bake for 7 to 10 minutes until the scones are well raised and golden.
