Take your waffles to a whole new level of deliciousness with this creamy filling with vanilla waffle sauce. Made with just a few ingredients, it can be done in the microwave in minutes!
Ingredients
- 2 cups of milk
- 1/2 cup cold milk
- 1/2 cup of sugar
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1-2 tablespoons of butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Instructions
- Heat 2 cups of milk in the microwave until hot (about 1 to 2 minutes).
- In another bowl, mix 1/2 cup cold milk with 1/2 cup sugar and 3 tablespoons cornstarch.
- Add the cornstarch mixture to the heated milk.
- Return the sauce to the microwave and heat until boiling 1 minute apart. Whisk between each interval.
- Once the mixture has thickened and reached a boiling point, mix 1 to 2 tablespoons of butter and 1 teaspoon of vanilla.
- Serve on waffles with fresh or canned fruit.
